Performance Based Fighter Rankings

We're thrilled to release our Performance Based Fighter Rankings, something we've been working on behind the scenes for quite some time.  Rankings not based on votes, but rather on how a fighter has fared inside the cage.

We start with the heavyweights, with a surprise name at #1.

Check back every day for the next few weeks as we roll out the rankings for each weight class.

Click here for the heavyweight rankings.

I'd love to see a Francis Ngannou vs. Derrick Lewis fight to see who keeps climbing those rankings.

I don't know if I'd want to see them kill off a prospect that way - heavyweight is shallow.

I think Lewis is destined for the gatekeeper role, and would be better off booking against heavyweights on the decline (ala Mark Hunt).

Ngannou is a legit challenger, but I wonder how he'll fare against top five guys like Velasquez or dos Santos. He could end up being the next Cheick Kongo as a physically impressive heavyweight, but didn't have the right tools to win the title.
